The band explores musical techniques to attain a delicate, complex fusion of sound. Their songs are highly composed and melodic, blending lyrical poetry with intricate instrumentation, performing original songs that are both genre defying and genre defining.

Gaining popularity for a unique blend of folk, rock and alt-country. With influences that run from Merl Haggard and Johnny Cash to Fugazi and Neutral Milk Hotel, their sound is readily accessible, but rarely formulaic. This hybrid style has proven to be popular with listeners of all ages and backgrounds.

Swale has found a way to extract and express the chaotic elements of peacefulness through unexpected orchestrations of drum, guitar, piano, prepared noise, and voice. Their textured and manipulated sound, culminating in puissant highs as well as staggering moments of tranquility, makes watching this band nothing short of entrancing.

Purchase $1.00 raffle tickets from bartender near the stage. First drawing is for the entire 7-CD collection of Bonestock soundtracks mixed by various people. Second drawing winner receives 2007 Bonestock T-shirt. And the Grand drawing winner receives half the pot.

This year’s design is currently in production and will be unveiled the end of July. We will feature it here when ready. There are a few sizes remaining from last year that will also be available.

Foodbank Donations

The mission of the Vermont Foodbank is to gather and share quality food and nurture partnerships that will end hunger in Vermont. Please help by bringing a canned or dry food item to donate. There will be a box of contributions on the Hill near the stage.

From its inception, Bonestock was intended to showcase a variety of music. This unifying ingredient has evolved beyond the stage of live performance to contributions of mixed CDs made by various people. Each year we receive new discs that we make cover art for and burn extra copies. Feel free to send us your mix to add to the Bonestock collection.
